Nepal polls: PM Sher Bahadur Deuba elected from Dadeldhura for 7th time in a row

For the eighth time in a row, Sher Bahadur Deuba, the prime minister, won the general elections from the Dadeldhura constituency.

On Sunday, candidates ran for seven provincial assemblies as well as the House of Representatives (HoR). On Monday, the voting count began.

165 of the 275 members of parliament will be chosen directly, and the other 110 will be chosen via a proportional election system. Similar to this, 330 of the 550 members of the provincial assembly will be chosen directly, and 220 will be chosen via the proportionate system.
