IMD puts Cyclone Yaas under ‘very severe cyclone’ category.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has put Cyclone Yaas under 'very severe cyclone' category. The cyclone is expected to cross West Bengal and north Odisha coasts by the evening of May 26 with a wind speed of 155-165 kmph and gusting to 185 kmph. Cyclone Burevi: Alert issued by IMD

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday (December 1) said that Cyclone Burevi is expected to make landfall in Tamil Nadu on Friday (December 4).  It is expected that the cyclonic storm would cross the Sri Lanka coast close to Trincomalee during the evening or night of December 2. Cyclone Nisarga likely to cross close to Mumbai by June 3, predicts IMD

India Meterological Department (IMD) on Monday (June 1) said that the well-marked low-pressure area over the south-east and adjoining east-central Arabian Sea and Lakshadweep area concentrated into a depression on Monday morning.
