Ban on international flights into India extended till September 30

The suspension of scheduled international passenger flights has been extended till September 30, said Indian aviation regulator DGCA on Monday (August 31). "However, international scheduled flights may be allowed on selected routes by the competent authority on a case-to-case basis," noted the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) in a circular. India's COVID-19 caseload surged to 10,77,618 on Sunday (July 19, 2020) with 38,902 news cases of coronavirus. India records 6,566 cases, 194 deaths in 24 hours; second highest death count since May 5
