IRCTC ends operations of India’s first private train Tejas Express

The Indian Railway Catering And Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) will cancel the operation of the country's first private train Tejas Express from Monday (November 23). The IRCTC has decided to end the operations of Lucknow-Delhi and Mumbai-Ahmedabad Tejas Express due to a shortage of passengers. It is to be noted that Tejas Express had resumed operations in October after its operation was suspended due to coronavirus pandemic. IRCTC starts booking for 200 special trains: Full list of special trains by Indian Railways

Indian Railways has started taking booking for 200 Special trains that will run from June 1 in a bid to provide relief to the passengers from Thursday (May 21). Bookings for these trains commenced at 10 am via Railway ticketing arm IRCTC. Only online e-ticketing will be done through IRCTC website or through Mobile App. Booking will not be permitted through reservation counter railway station, booking agents.
