Uttar Pradesh health officials were on Wednesday sent to Ahmedabad to procure 25,000 Remdesivir injections on Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's directions. Remdesivir is considered a key antiviral drug in fight against COVID-19, especially among adults with severe complications. "CM has directed Health department for urgent procurement of 25,000 Remdesivir from Ahmedabad. For this, directors and officials of the department are going to Ahemdabad on a state plane today itself," a tweet by the Chief Minister's Office said. Good news! UP to give one-month’s salary as Diwali bonus to 15 lakh state employees

The Uttar Pradesh government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday decided to give bonus, equivalent to 30-day salary, to state employees. The move will cost the state exchequer Rs 1,023 crore.  Nearly 15 lakh employees which includes state government employees, government and government-aided school teachers, employees of local bodies and daily wagers under the state. Yogi cabinet passes ordinance to prevent cow slaughter; rigorous imprisonment of 10 years

To protect cows and prevent their slaughter, the Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday approved a draft ordinance, providing a maximum rigorous imprisonment of 10 years and a fine up to Rs 5 lakh. For the first offence, a person can be given a rigorous punishment of one to seven years with a fine ranging from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 3 lakh.
