Dibrugarh, Aug 31: The Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) came down heavily on BJP government for not taking any action against corruption.
Addressing a press conference at Greater Dibrugarh Press Club, AJP president Lurinjyoti Gogoi on Thursday said, “It has been clear that Himanta Biswa Sarma led-BJP is supporting corruption because the government didn’t act against the corruption. During direct recruitment government examination, the government have taken money through their agents for giving them job. The whole things has been came to light after the suicide of BJP woman leader Indrani Tahbildar. The epicenter of the job scam is BJP’s headquarter Vajpaye Bhawan in Guwahati,”.
“The recovery of fake job exam identity cards by police at the residence of BJP leaders and recovery of facts regarding cash collection in job appointment. The IT cell of BJP was also involved in the corruption. Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has been saying their government has given 80,000 jobs to unemployed which was nothing but a propaganda,”Gogoi alleged.
He said, “In all the department including Assam police, Agriculture, P & RD, the forest department and Direct recruitment there is only corruption in the recruitment process,”.
He further said, “Why CM Sarma is mum about the matter. We also demand that those who get job, their roll numbers, marks should be made public. Some of the candidates have filed RTI to know about their result but till date they have not got any reply of the RTI,”.
“The Vajpaye Bhawan in Guwahati has become a ‘shopping mall of corruption. Many BJP leaders are involved in this racket. Why the government is playing with the lives of the youth,” Gogoi said.
Gogoi further said, “We demand for judicial inquiry. The corruption in recruitment process has came to light after the suicide case of the woman BJP leader. The government which always busy in beating development drum has been involved in neck deep corruption,”.
