Tripura: BJP MLA found watching obscene reels in assembly, party issues show cause notice

Guwahati: In a shameful incident, a BJP MLA of Tripura was caught watching obscene short videos while the assembly session was in progress.

The BJP immediately decided to issue a show cause notice to MLA Jadab Lal Nath who was found watching obscene videos in Tripura assembly.

According to sources, Nath was watching some obscene content on his mobile phone. He was scrolling down and again paying notice to the assembly proceedings.

Earlier, in 2012, Karnataka BJP leader Laxman Savadi was caught watching a porn clip on his phone in the state assembly along with another minister CC Patil.

The two ministers then quite following public outrage.

BJP State President Rajib Bhattacharya  said that the party would soon issue a notice to the MLA asking him to make his stand clear on the issue.

“This matter has been brought to our notice. We have already discussed the matter with our party matters and have decided to issued a notice seeking his reply on the matter. If we are not satisfied with his answer, we will take action against him,” Bhattacharya said.

 Nath, an MLA from the Bagbasa assembly constituency under the North Tripura district was elected to the state assembly for the first time.
