GUWAHATI: Firebrand BJP leader and Uttar Pradesh Chief minister Yogi Adityanath came down heavily on Congress and CPI-M for misleading the people of Tripura for years.
Addressing a poll rally in Tripura, Yogi Adityanath accused both Congress and CPI-M for running a jungle raj in Tripura. He said they failed miserably to understand the aspirations of the people.
“Huge illegal infiltration took place during the Congress regime. The party facilitated the infiltration in India for vote bank. There was no safety and security of people. Cattle smuggling was rampant and the common people didn’t get any benefits of the government. But after the double engine government comes to power they provides maximum benefits to the people,” Adityanath asserted.
The BJP leader said, “The people of Tripura faced huge problem due to the “misrule” of both communist and Congress regimes for many years. The Northeast region has recorded development for the first time under the BJP,”.
He appealed the people to vote for BJP because BJP is the only party which will bring all round development in the state.
“At first the law and order were restored under the BJP government in Tripura and put a stop on violence, religious places are now safe, women are safe, women police stations were set up, and 33% reservation for women,” the BJP leader stated.
Uttar Pradesh chief minister Adityanath visited poll-bound Tripura to campaign for BJP candidate Sudhangsu Das at Fatikroy Assembly Constituency in Dhalai district of Tripura.
